For your budding musician, Young Child provides a pressure-free, developmentally appropriate transition where he can musically succeed before taking on more formal instruction. The Young Child curriculum helps your child develop a working knowledge of voice development, rhythm, notation, musical symbols, and simple instruments. It does so in a fun, yet structured, environment. Your child is introduced to keyboard, string, and woodwind instruments through the use of the glockenspiel, dulcimer, and recorder. Listening activities strengthen her ability to discern a variety of instruments and musical concepts. He begins to read music, create musical compositions, and participate in instrumental and vocal ensemble exercises. She discovers various composers, the orchestra, and musical cultures from around the world. He hears, explores and learns to appreciate a variety of musical styles. Young Child broadens and deepens your child's introduction to the fulfillment and excitement of music.
